Firenze

We were up at Sparrows this morning to catch the train from Ponte A Moriano (our nearest station at the bottom of the hill) to Pisa Centrale and pick up a train to Firenze.  It all went like clockwork.  We had booked tickets with a guide to the Uffizi Galleries.  Gee there is a lot of beautiful art in there.  After that we strolled around to the Ponte Vecchio where this blip was taken.   Firenze was heaving with tourists and it was hot.   My phone said 29C.

We had lunch at a small ristorante and then met our guide for the Academia.  It was nice to get in quickly but there were still so many people.  Still most were respectful and took their selfies and shots and then moved on.

By the end of that we had had enough of Firenze for the day and then caught an earlier train home.   It's lovely relaxing at the Villa now.  Nearly sunset and time for dinner.  The last extra if it loads is of the Duomo.
