Colourful bracken

Usually September is a lovely time of year, with dry settled weather and it is still very mild or even warm. So far it has been like spring rather than autumn, one minute the sun is shining with blue skies and the next it is pouring with rain. I walked Xena in the bright sunshine this morning, when I took this photo, and by the time we finished the walk an hour later it was raining.

Other than some grocery shopping and getting mosquito repellent from Boots I have been at home. I started getting out my 'safari clothing', all neutrals and khaki things as its best not to wear bright colours. It is going to be mid 30s (celsius) when we are in Zambia which is so hot, but I know how cool those early morning game drives on an open vehicle can be, so I also need to pack a warm jacket and woolly hat.

Tommy is in Switzerland hiking with friends and today when they were in the mountains they saw a golden eagle soaring over them, they were so lucky to see that there.

I started watching The Guest on BBC last night, with the wonderful Eve Myles, so far I am enjoying it very much.
