The Room

Somehow or other I managed to gatecrash a reception this evening, held in the Scottish Parliament. The event was sponsored by a couple of MSPs in support of an organisation which buys ambulances and delivers them to Ukraine for use in evacuating casualties. 

I guess it was a networking event. I dusted off a few rusty old skills, mixed a few metaphors and worked the room. I made sure to pass (twice) the part of the room which had wine and sandwiches. 

I am glad I made the effort. I learned stuff. 

One downside has been getting home at 21.30. My best days may be behind me when it comes to stamina for these things (one of my learnings).
