Wednesday: Rescue Mission

We have had a fair bit of heavy rain today.  During a break in the weather we discovered this poor bumble bee in the garden.  It seemed to be too soaked to fly. We rescued it and put it next to a foxglove so it could get some nectar.

K also built an elaborate contraption to keep it dry (see extra). I am pleased to report that, at last checking, Bumble Bee seems to be doing well.
