Tuesday: This Year’s Scholars

The UK has an excellent long-standing scholarship programme through which we fund a Masters in the UK.  The deal is that you have to return to your home country and bring back that investment.

This afternoon we had a send off tea for this year’s scholars.  We had games that included our own version of Pictionary (focussed on UK landmarks, foods and traditions) as well as various other activities.  

When it comes to British food in Pictionary, there are only so many ways you can draw pies and scones.

From left to right, these scholars are heading to Queen Mary, Glasgow, SOAS, Sussex and Swansea.  For some it will be the first time in the UK.

N&S came over for takeaway Chinese this evening which was lovely.  And I have gifted S my wooden giraffe from South Africa. After 33 years it’s time for him to go to a new home. We feel it’s only right he remains in a warmer climate.
