Two Sides of the Same Day

I had hoped for a short walk today but a prolonged and heavy shower meant I did not get out of the car at my destination!
Undeterred, I have still made good use of my day. 
The down-side has been switching on the television. Nationally, we have returned to the endless political sniping and all the fringe expressions of vitriol and hate. Internationally, the great dictators have had their say. I didn't want to watch the Chinese show of force but was impressed  with the professionalism of the presentation. The extreme discipline of the military march was mesmerising and sure to evoke a whole range of thoughts and emotions.
I still didn't have a blip though, so this evening I took this flower from the garden and took a photo of it against the window glass. It was raining again outside so plenty of raindrops and streaks of water running down the glass. Simple pleasures!
