Coffee, tea and lunch
It was still raining heavily this morning, which is great news for the farmers and for our gardens.
I took a carload of stuff to the charity shop and managed to get in without too much rain on the goods.
Then I picked up the other Marjorie. We had agreed to try out the coffee shop in Bardon Mill. It turns out to be delightful. Marjorie had tea and I had a cappuccino. These accompanied a long chat.
We then had soup and cheese scones for lunch. Excellent fare.
The only down side is that the excellent toilet and baby facilities are up a few stairs, so I can’t bring Margret there for lunch. They have done wonders with a very small space and the crafts and gifts are well displayed.
After I took Marjorie home, I called to see Jenny and Dennis. Jenny was very chatty. Dennis looked comfortable and kept drifting off to sleep.
Back home, I knitted and watched more FBI on my iPad.
I’ve sorted out a set of drawers in Mum’s room, so more progress there.
When I asked to photograph the two delightful women who run the café, one agreed and the other hid!
Tonight, Julie and I have had a good catch up on Messenger.
