My topsy-turvy life

Free ice cream

The last Owen and Daddy day of the summer holiday didn't exactly end the way we expected.

We had a morning at home then over to Attingham Park after lunch to head to the Field of Play where Owen made a friend and had me chasing them around. After going over to the sandpit he suddenly came running over to me clutching his hand, crying. Unbeknownst to him, a bee had been on his shoulder when he reached up to adjust his t shirt and had stung him.

I managed to pull out the sting lodged in his hand and clean it up with a wipe. He was -obviously- too weak to walk so I carried him back to the café in search of first aid that duly arrived to assess the damage (and provide antiseptic wipes). While we were waiting for the first aiders, Owen was offered an ice cream by the nice café staff to take his mind off the singing sensation in his hand.

...why can't you get that as an adult?!
