Hopping along...

I've been stricken by a bout of tendonitis in my right Achilles, which is pretty painful. This in part explains why my blip output for the last week or so has been so lacklustre. I can't go much further than the local shops, and even that is taking twice as long as it should.

During today's long trek I was pleased and surprised to spot this hop vine on the other side of my street. I have no idea how it's come to be there or how long it's been there, but it seems well established. Unlike the fig tree on my side of the street, I don't think I'll be going back to harvest this lot, although perhaps some clever sort will be knocking up New Malden ale in the near future.
