Nicky and her Nikon

Adam and Anna

We had a very good first meeting of the season at camera club last night, we have four new members so that is good. I need to start selecting images to enter external competitions as there are a few coming up.

I had a lazy day at home today. It has rained a fair amount today, that warm soft type of rain that is good for the garden. Now the sun is shining once again.

This morning I took Xena to the vet for her annual inoculations, and I had a discussion with the vet about the new Lepto vaccine as the UK has now got some more Leptospira strains so the vaccine has had to be adjusted. While I was there the receptionist lit a candle and placed it in the window with a sign that read something along the lines of 'if this candle is lit it means someone is having to say goodbye to their beloved pet, so please be patient and talk quietly'. I felt very sad for whoever was going through that.

It has been pleasant spending the day at home with Adam and Anna. It is their last day in the UK and I feel sad about their departure tomorrow.

In the afternoon Adam's piano was delivered, he has rented out his flat in Cambridge fully furnished but the tenant did not want his piano there so we will store it here for him.

We are about to get the train to London as I have booked tickets to see the new production of the musical Evita. By coincidence Inca, who is now in Buenos Aires (Argentina), went to the Eva Peron museum a few days ago. (Inca is having a great trip, she has spent much time in Peru, Chile and  now Argentina). We are meeting Luke and Gavin there. Tommy is currently in Switzerland with friends for a few days of hiking.
