A day in the life

Time flies. I'm in charge of making sure the electric bill gets paid every month. My neighbour sends me a photo of the numbers on her meter on the first of the month, so I can check how much electricity she's used out of the total. It felt like it was only a couple of weeks ago I had her last photo. That's one way of measuring time.

I've started looking through a lot of repertoire again for a gig towards the end of the month, where I will play mainly instrumental music. The repertoire changes over time, I can no longer play some of the music I used to so new choices has to be made.

The afternoon was used for mowing. It took me over three hours to get the grass mowed, because we haven't had a mower for a while. I use the scythe only on the very tall grass on the meadow, today I mowed the paths, hopefully for the last time this season. It looks good when it's done but requires hard work to get there. The early autumn climate is very agreeable.
