Foxy's Folio

Not Hadrian’s

As you can see, this wall is about 1900 years too late for that but it was looking good in the sunshine when my friend Roger, his collie Polly and I passed it on our walk on Ham Hill this morning.

I think I blipped the stone wall masons building it, though was surprised it was two years ago.

Despite the sunshine, when we left the pub after two coffees a couple of hours later we were caught half way to our cars in the most sudden and ferocious cloud burst I have ever witnessed. It was only 50 yards to the cars but we were soaked before we got anywhere near them. By the time I’d driven to the village at the bottom of the hill, the roads are dry.

Kate brought Sophie over this afternoon for a sleepover as tomorrow Kate has to be in school for the first of two INSET days. Sophie doesn’t start school until Thursday.
