Handsome

Found this lovely eyed hawkmoth caterpillar when I was picking apples. It was as big as my finger.

I left it well alone in the hopes that it would soon pupate and then turn into the magnificent adult moth.

I can well spare a few apple leaves for something as lovely as this.
