Picnic

Back blip - I also blipped 22nd August 


Our friends Gilles and Dale from Montreuil are back in Edinburgh - like every year in August, and we had planned a walk and picnic in the Pentland with then and 4 other old friends from Edinburgh who also know them. We were four French-British couples, and three dogs. Julian was in charge of the route. Sadly the heather was past its best and the weather was not great. In fact it was drizzling when we got to the the top of Carnethy, our first first summit, and we were not sure that we would be able to have our picnic, however we carried on to Scald Law, and the rain stopped, so we sat down for our picnic and the cloud lifted enough for us to have a view. It was really good to catch up with friends that we've known for 30 years.
