Hensington Palace
Raining first thing, but soon cleared into a sunny day, all day and evening. Very windy, but a warm 18⁰c.
Up at 5am, early street beat cleaning. I was on the south beat, Logan working north. A morning puttering about the house after work. Finally walkies with Sammy. Me, peerie Brian, mam and friend Julie headed north to the Sullom hall Sunday Teas, absolutely delicious. Followed by a visit to a chicken farm, then onto Bruckland, a secondhand store. Me and Julie headed out walkies with dogs after. Working in the shop this evening, a quieter night than usual. Feet up before bed.
With nine different Sunday Teas on today, we chose Sullom, as there was various other things on in Northmavine. On granddad Mitchell's old croft, the chicken farm was having an open day, friends Leslie and Robert greeted us. They have over 400 hens and cockerells, with 40 different breeds, absolutely amazing birds. We bought some feed, and they came swarming. They told us all about the farm, how the chickens live in large numbers, all free range, and fantastic polycrub housing. With so many visitors, it was hard to snap a photo, as they charged off to the next person throwing seed to them. This part of granddad's croft was where he cast his peats, and let the sheep loose in the hill. Great to see it thriving with healthy chickens now. Me feeding the hens outside the cats house, Hensington Palace, Vesta Virdin, Sullom.
