Raindrops on Roses...

A quiet day, with Janet still in the grips of covid related annoyance and having a very restful day. I managed to finally finish painting all the upper landing doors, just in time for the stair carpet to be laid on Tuesday.

The rain and the sunshine alternated through most of the day, and this rosebud caught my attention while I was feeding the voracious fiends in the pond. I managed an exercise walk and now I'm cooking for one.

So, that's it for August and that's it for meteorological summer. It does feel like the weather shifted right at the end, from unending heat and sunshine to unsettled showers... maybe we're about to harden into a wet autumn.
