We were going to walk the gallops at Beckhampton and on to the Lansdowne monument but the weather didn't know what it was doing!

I was already kitted out in leggings, raincoat and walking boots but we ended up going along the canal, through the Belvedere woods and Quakers Walk.

My raincoat was coming off and going on repeatedly.

On the way home, we checked on Violet. She repeated the same old but seems well. It looks like she has another visit from her surgery this coming week. She complained but I assured her that it was a good thing.

Last night's M&S dinner was delicious! I recommend Tom Kerridge Lentil Cottage Pie. So good that I'm having a go at my own version for this evening. Apart from cream, I seem to have all the ingredients. Cream is a once in a blue moon addition in any recipe.
