So,so sad....

Just a couple of years ago this little wooded roadside verge was full of Bluebells and Early Purple Orchids. Today it is totally devoid of Orchids, and the Bluebells are just a straggly few thanks to local councils cutting down the trees and running everything over with their heavy plant! 
It makes me so mad .. how can anyone allow this to happen? I shall return next spring to see if anything has managed to fight back, but I somehow doubt it!
