Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . to do what you want

A day when nothing was planned, we didn't have to be anywhere and our time was our own.

There was a bit of gardening (hacking back) this morning until the rain came on and forced me indoors.  Then there was a chance to watch some of the Women's Rugby World Cup and the Great British Sewing Bee, while preparing some damsons for jam-making.  I was inspired by the Sewing Bee which was all about re-cycling and re-using, to put up some new curtains in the kitchen, that were elsewhere in the house.

Then, Saturday night is always Pizza Night in this house - and Will does the cooking.  The above was delicious as ever, specially washed down with some South African red.  And now, there's just time to catch up with what's been happening with the cyclists taking part in La Vuelta a Espana - and read my book.

I love days like this ............................!
