Now, as I see it......

Lacock

We had a good drive up to Oxford from Bude.  The traffic wasn't too bad, I suppose because it is a Saturday so not a normal 'changeover day' for holidaymakers.  We decided to break the journey at Lacock Abbey, the home of the photography pioneer Henry Fox Talbot.  We've visited once before but it was many years ago; not that it had changed much!  My shot is of one of the shops in the adjoining village which is almost entirely owned by the National Trust and is frequently used for filming period dramas for TV and film.

Now settled into our hotel in the outskirts of Oxford.  It's only a Premier Inn but it's comfortable and there's a pub/restaurant next door.  The menu is pretty much all fried stuff but I'm sure we'll find something!

Home tomorrow.
