I was …. Distressed?…. Thursday and Lisa bought me flowers.
I just needed a win, in something, but I’m hoping she is right. It does sound as though we might survive this even though there will be extensive and unnecessary suffering along the way. And I believe we will have the will to make serious reforms if we make it through. It seems as though new, serious Democratic leaders are finally stepping up and are getting positive reinforcement, which will encourage more.
Maybe we’ll give DC statehood. Maybe we’ll enact gun reform. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we eradicated the electoral college? Or outlawed outrageous gerrymandering? And spend the next 25 years repairing the damage.
It will be possible for me to get my Covid vaccine in Maryland, I won’t have to leave the state or the country, or at least that is how it looks now.
Two new people sent in their headshots and agreed to be part of the company. Folks are psyched about the new proposal opportunity we found in Ghana. We’re having our next “all-staff” meeting on Tuesday.

There is an estimate that Russia is spending an average of $520 million a day on its military. This is 30% higher than last year. 30% of Russia’s total state spending goes to “defense.” (In the US it is half that.)
