Day 3 Lough Neagh
We checked the forecast and rain was coming from the east so we headed west to Lough Neagh.
We visited The Argory House which was built in 1820s and has wonderful views over the gardens and 320acre wooded Estate. This is the former home of the MacGeough - Bond family. It has a splendid stable yard with horse carriages, harness room, acetylene gas plant and laundry.
We had some lunch in the cafe there then continued round the lough to Antrim lough Park where there was a statue of the Protector of the Lough Neagh. Standing 6metres high it was designed by the Spanish sculptor Casto Solano.
