Passo del Foscagno!

Bormio sure knows how to do rain, and thunderstorms!! Thank goodness for Goretex and a Queensbury weather attitude. ;-) 

The rain has been relentless all day, and it is still hammering it down now as I type this at 7pm. There have been strange windows of bright blue skies lasting 10 minutes, or so, about every few hours which only adds to the madness. 

My original plan was to head to Livigno and the lakes up there, however the road was closed beyond Foscagno, 8 miles lower, for safety reasons. I decided I would go as far as Foscagno instead. With 2 miles to go the road was blocked but I felt delighted to have made it to that point! I had great fun and didn't feel cheated at all. :-) 

No other cyclists out and about, just a few soggy tourists sat under umbrellas in the centre of Bormio to be seen. :-)
