The final day

It was a bit bouncy overnight as we made our way from Waterford to Portsmouth, where we’ll disembark tomorrow after breakfast.

As you’ll have realised, it has been an amazing trip. Excellent people as well as the great weather and real luxury.

Today we had a more leisurely time. A final lecture from Martin Sixsmith, and two Ebird observations, one from the bow, and the other at a different point. The two half hour sessions just flashed by….shearwaters, gulls, gannets and so much to watch.

I was just waiting for the expedition team members, armed with my binoculars and my phone, when a dolphin appeared, checking out our ship. I can’t manage a camera as well, so I used my phone.

No dolphin capture, but I’d like to think the snap gives the feeling of the moment.

Back to real life tomorrow………..
