Flower Friday

I found these in the back corner of the garden, interested to see a thin white edge around the pink. Primroses are very giving, these may get a drink in summer if they are lucky. Next to them are some blue hyacinths which I am pleased to say are multiplying. 

It is a wild sort of day, blizzards down south and windy here but not that cold yet, it is coming. I did venture out to do a very small job in the garden trimming back my 2 lavender plants and tidying up last autumn’s leaves which are all stuck in them. I am sensitive to lavender and had to change my top when I came inside as I was feeling a bit tight in the chest. I don’t have many lavender plants for that reason. About 30 years ago I put too many drops of lavender oil in a bath and came out looking like a lobster. Ever since then I need to keep away from the leaves and scent and I chucked the oil away.

Finished the Shari Lapena book, wow it was great. Thanks for the tip edisteve. I made myself do the jobs before sitting down to read it this morning and made a beef goulash from a chat GPT recipe. It is good, comes up with 1 recipe and no advertisements like when you do an ordinary internet search. We watched the Thursday Murder Club film on Netflix; very disappointed with the choice of characters and where they lived, It was such a good book. They seemed to miss many of the hilarious little things they said to each other. 

Diet update week 1; I lost 2.3 kg; didn’t miss a meal and ate a well balanced diet. I mainly cook from scratch but am greedy when I start on extras. So no afters. We rarely have dessert but are good at morning and afternoon teas here. 

I might go out for a quick walk around the block, hope I don’t get blown away.
