Ruby-throated ...

... Hummingbird.  

Sitting pretty. 

I warned you the other day that I would continue to post the hummingbirds for as long as I was able!  And to my delight we still have one or two hanging around for me to photograph.  

This was shot in the early morning light whilst she was resting between nectaring up on the shrimp plant ... which they absolutely love.  We also saw her later in the day but by then I had already taken way too many photos!
