Wild Wednesday ...

... silver spotted skipper.

I had read last night that there is a firmware update to my camera so first thing this morning I completed the task ... which isn't all that difficult.  But it takes some techy skills.  

One of the many updates to the firmware was a dedicated subject detection mode for birds ... which this camera didn't have but the Nikon Z9 does.  And since I love photographing birds I'm very excited about this new mode.

That said ... we ventured out this afternoon to Louise Moore County park so that I could put it to a test.  Unfortunately, there weren't the normal field swallows zooming around like there usually is.  But I was able to capture this lovely silver spotted skipper.   Maybe tomorrow I can play with this detection mode a little more ... only this time with some actual birds!
