Storm damage

Once upon a time there was a storm called Eowyn and it knocked down a fence in Ali's garden. That was in January, it was patched up, but now, finally, at the end of August it has been repaired. I sat in Ali's house from 8.30- 6pm today while it was repaired. What a job they did
They dug out 5 fence posts and the huge blocks of concrete 2ft down that surrounded each base. They placed the new 8ft posts and concreted them in, reattached the existing panels then took the extra 6" or so off the top.
Two men worked flat out all day and at the end of the day cleared away all the mess leaving the garden as you see it in the final part of the collage. You'd hardly know they had been there. The rain mostly held off too
Ali is so pleased to have it done at last and so am I, no risk of dog or grandchild making a bid for freedom and more .
I got home in time for tea and tomorrow I get to do it all over again but this time with children. Ali is working and Stuart working away from home this week so I'm on child care duty till lunch time. An early start as I've to be there by 8. Yawn
