Buzzard on the Hawthorn

My juvenile buzzard keeps doing the rounds and seems pretty successful to a degree. He was hunting early morning and when I opened the curtains he had just dived and caught something which he was eating on the floor. I took this from my tent hide this afternoon.

The kestrel pair were being harassed unmercifully by rooks and I felt for them as they couldn't settle anywhere without trouble. They seem fairly stoic about the situation and after many intimidating chases always carried on albeit further away for a little while but then came back. They know where their next meal is coming from.

My appointment at the hospital was really a waste of time as the consultant advised me to carry on with what I was doing. My fibula is not only fractured but my knee is sprained and  he thinks it could well be 6 months possibly before I'm back to normal.

I came home and gently walked Millie who disappeared after a rabbit in our hedge just as the rain came in. I didn't have a jacket so wasn't too amused. She reappeared looking all innocent and trotted at my heels as if she had always been there then proceeded to jump in the pond to cool down. I didn't need to as I'd got soaked anyway.
