Urban Sunflower

A misty haze in the distance first thing, cleared into a cloudy morning.  A beautiful sunny afternoon and evening.

A day working with Dan.  We were on bulk waste removals from the south mainland first thing, then moved on to odd jobs and litter picking in Lerwick.   Walkies on my own after work.  Met friend Julie for walkies this evening, with Sammy and Keba.  Sammy did great again, back to an old favourite up the hill on the old flat road, so many smells to catchup on.  Bath for Sammy, and now all got our feet up.

A lovely walk around the village after work, although it's taking time to get used to not having Sammy with me on every walk these days.  Some cheery sights distracted me from this, like this lovely sunflower, growing out the paving slabs.  This is the kind of places where I could be sent to do some weeding, glad this flower has been saved from my menacing tools and gets a chance to bloom the rest of the summer.  Taken at Gibblestone House, Main Street, Scalloway.
