Bull

Show time - at the Malham Show and for once it wasn't chucking it down. I love these shows - a real proper taste of Yorkshire. The dog show - prize for dog most looking like its owner; vegetable shows - catastrophe class is my favourite and of course the traditional how many things beginning with 'p' can you get in a matchbox class. The egg throwing competition is always fun to see who will get egg on their face and everywhere else, and there are always willing victims for the ducking stool (they breed them tough up here!)
The cattle this year were (from my amateur eye) outstanding - the Belgian Blue which won was fantastic tho' you wouldn't want to meet any of them in a field. This Highland cow won something (best red head in show I think).
