Should I be Proud?

I saw this on the way home from the swimming pool this morning. I’ve no wish to weigh in to the ongoing discussions about flags, or the painting of the English flag on mini roundabouts and zebra crossings, but this perhaps goes too far. There is a sense of disquiet in some quarters and while I am proud to be English, British (and even European), I do wonder whether what might have been an innocent expression of pride may be hijacked by other groups with different agendas.
