Market, Beach, Cervantes Sandwich, Bossa Nova Show

Back boiled botanic gardens for yesterday.
Started the day with a little desk work for us both.

Up to our Wednesday food market for fruit and a wander.

Walked along the front to Posto 1 for a little relaxing beach time. Coming to this Leme part of the beach gets some steps in, as well as it being a nice walk along the front.

Had a comfort stop at one of the beach bars right at the end of Leme, with views of the complete bay right along to the fort. Considered lunch at Bar Tinez, on the front, and in fact shared a small dressed crab (they’re teeny) there, but decided it wasn’t really for us. I commented how much I like a good sandwich and so Bb suggested Cervantes - nearby and famous for its hearty sandwiches (pineapple features in many) and the fact that it’s open from 11am till 5am 365 days a year! It fitted the bill perfectly. Cooked ham, pate and pineapple - one of their classics. We shared one, didn’t finish it, nor the chips, which we really needn’t have ordered!

It was now about 7.00pm and we weren’t too far away from The Bottles Bar and another bossa nova concert. Decision made! Walked by, bought our tickets for the Dilma Oliveira show, then wandered around till it was time to go in at 8.30. Another great show, and such good value for about 9 euros each! See Bb’s blip for a link to her singing: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3407703460051681918

Taxi home (it’s very walkable but we were tired) and fell into bed!
