Through the square window...
An early blip today, before we go out. It's a half hour walk down into the town for the Jazz festival venues and today we have some very heavy and thundery rain showers at frequent intervals. As a result we have re-thought our day. There is usually a gap of about 90 minutes between the morning and afternoon sessions, and up to two and a half hours before the evening sessions begin. If we were doing all three we'd come back to the bungalow to eat between the afternoon and evening sessions but there's a good chance we'd get soaked if we do. Instead, we are missing the morning session, will go down for the afternoon one and we've booked a table in a local restaurant for an early dinner. That means we won't get back here until after 11pm and I know I won't want to do my blip then. I could drive down but I suspect it would be difficult to get parked and, of course, I wouldn't be able to have a drink.
This is the back garden of the bungalow, taken between showers. There's woodland over the back fence so it's very quiet apart from owls hooting at night. We were told that we could see woodpeckers in the garden but so far the only birds we've had down have been wood pigeons, not peckers.
