Bosta beach, Isle of Lewis
Today we returned to complete the walk that we scoped out on Great Bernera on 9th June. We started on the beautiful beach at Bosta (blipped), then walked up into the hills until we had a fabulous view of the mountains, lochs, and bays that are our playground here on the Isle of Lewis. From there we wandered downhill beyond Tobson to find a rock opposite the lobster pool in Loch Roag as our picnic spot (extra).
On our return journey we stopped at the Great Bernera community café for coffee/coke and cakes. Then back at the house we joined Jo's sister Julie for a guided tour of the best walled garden in Timsgarry led by Richard. Jo served us (even more) cake afterwards as we all caught up on family chat.
We have played another two games of Scrabble. I was annihilated in the first, and lost narrowly in the second. The series score is currently 7-3 to Mr hazelh. Perhaps we should be playing Azul instead?
Exercise today: hill walking - 2 hours 40 minutes on Great Bernera.
