viva la vida

andrea and i went to see coldplay at saratoga. my eyes were full of tears for at least half of the concert. they handed out free copies of their newest album "leftrightleftrightleft" as the crowd left and to my surprise it capture the live version of viva la vida - the most powerful performance i've ever heard live as the crowd sang the bridge of the song. my hands were held high in the air and with tears in my eyes i sang my lungs out. andrea and i drove home, our voices hoarse and my head has been spinning since from exhaustion.

i couldn't capture the crowd the way i wanted to so instead i settled for this shot of andrea, who never ceases to make my photographs better.
