Lala's Journal

Reading

Another hobby from Saturday’s flower festival - lots of little ‘nods’ to Reading.

Proud today - a couple of months ago management subbed out a staff survey. The results are all in and although I couldn’t attend the meeting last week, I was sent the presentation. In terms of job satisfaction, feeling valued, feeling listened to etc etc guess which team came out on top?

And then I had a brief training session with a colleague because I can’t get the hang of a particular ordering system and I heard from her how she was feeling belittled, undermined,  and actually scared for her job. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not an easy person to get on with, she can be abrupt, but she’s also very kind and caring. If I were to delve further I would say she’s probably autistic, but no point in labelling people this late in life. It just needs a bit of patience, understanding and kindness, because at the moment I wouldn’t be surprised if the stress and anxiety she’s feeling results in sick leave.
