'Tahiti'
The Head Gardener used to grow begonias to show, with quite a lot of success. He once won the cup as best Scottish Begonia Grower at the Ayr Flower Show! However, he lost interest a number of years back due to some personal circumstances, and stopped growing them.
Over the last two years he has shown some interest again, and one of his growing friends gave him some named tubers to see how he did. So we have a nice show in the greenhouse at present, and while they would not win prizes, they are lovely to look at, like tissue paper flowers almost.
This one is called 'Tahiti' and I rather like the strong colour in it. The bloom is about the size of my outstretched hand.
Another beautiful day in the low 'twenties'...... whose complaining?
