Not as Cosy as it Seems

A case of slight ennui first thing, but not sleight of hand; ignoring the loose slate.  When trimming the hedge there was a glorious visit of seven swallows; they skimmed about for twenty seconds and departed.  We used to host nesting shallows (in the sheep's hoose) but not for several years now.  CMC returned home, put on her kitten heels, and cut a few cigars.  I blame her finishing school in Kirkwall.  I then caught her giggling feverishly and stuffing bank notes into an overnight bag.  Meantime Bernard claimed to be channelling a smurf; last week it was Reginald Maudling!
