Bald

When I blipped this hill first in 2020, it was covered in forest. But the dry years and subsequent bark beetle infestations have left their mark. And this year has - so far - been way too dry again, at least in our region.

I visited my mother and D, and it made me happy that my mother was taking part in our conversation a little more than usual. It’s clearly good for her to have a carer who likes to talk with her, asks her questions, and gives her time to answer. A pity that D is going to leave us again in just two weeks.
