On This Day

Now a coffee shop this Category A listed building was both the ticket office for St Enoch Station and the HQ of the Glasgow Subway. There's a ticket office underground now and the building sits a bit incongruously in the middle of the two entrances to the subway. It was built on the site of a church and that's what the blue plaque commemorates. I took a detour between Queen Street and Central stations today to take its photograph.

We had rain overnight! And again just half an hour ago. Quite a novelty and very welcome. It's sunny now though. I'm just waiting for my grandson to come out of school.

Neither of us had much sleep last night. While that's not unusual for me it is for Cameraman. We were both padding round the house at various times, reading, doing word games and so on. Tired today.

However we were up with the lark as I had a scheduled online chat with my good pals then a walk with a neighbour. Cameraman also had a walk arranged with a different neighbour. Mine was a really brisk walk with non stop chat. Cameraman was more leisurely but probably covered more miles.

Once I'm home from Glasgow I'll look at blip before an early night.
