Close Shave For No.14

Had a fab day out at Oulton Park with my son & my Father-in-Law. It was a present my Father-in-Law recieved back in March, but the freezing weather ment the occasion we were supposed to go to was cancelled earlier on in the year.

I took far too many photos - that darn burst mode, which probably explains it all as this is not an area of photography I speciallize in. But I managed to come up with these at the end of the day.

Quite chuffed with this result because my camera really is'nt cut out for burst mode shooting particularly in RAW........ 3 fps, then when it reaches the 5th shot only 1fs is managed! So you can see the sequence of the first 5 here and the last shot was taken after another lap. This double "spin out" occured on the first lap where most of the racing cars were together. This No.14 driver was in the lead at this point, but managed to climb back to third for much of the race, so all credit to him. Incredibly there were no crashes after the double spin. But we couldn't watch the rest of it as we had to get back......we had already seen a handful of races throughout the day which was absolutely amazing.

Here are some more shots from today's event, including the "wall of death".

Enjoy.
