Spider flower

This is a plant I have not seen before. It was planted in tubs outside my club where we were having coffee after Pilates this morning. I used an identification app…Spider Flower ..tarenya hassleriana ..also known as Grandfathers whiskers which is appropriate if you look closely.

I went to my daughters for lunch and after we all played a couple of board games which we all enjoyed. Then the children went in the garden under the sprinkler as it was about 28C.

Just back from watering the allotment…all rather dry and not good crops of anything except plums this year! It is our allotment show next weekend but I’m not sure we will have anything to enter…maybe a Scarecrow if I get on with making one!

Now for a quiet evening watching some TV .including US open tennis.
