Not Forgotten!

Lisnabreeny is the site of a former American World War Two cemetery, located on the outskirts of Belfast in the Castlereagh Hills overlooking the city.   The field in which this memorial is situated contained one hundred and forty eight American servicemen killed during the war who were interred in this site.  There they remained until 1948 when all were exhumed and repatriated to the U.S.

The local district council ensures that these fallen servicemen are not forgotten.  This photograph serves as a reminder that present day despotic dictators should not be appeased, that is if we take need of past history.
