Helsinki Day 2
The parking spot was really quiet at night, so after a good nights sleep and a fried egg breakfast, we went to carry on exploring the city. First, the local neighborhood with all the embassies. The day card for the tram was still valid, we went to look at the railway station, the Botanic Gardens and the Esplanade. The 24 hour parking ran out, so it was time to move on. Not too far, about 20 mins on the other side of Helsinki, close to the Ferry we would be taking to Travermünde the day after. Another great spot on an island, next to Kallahdenniemi beach. We got the bikes out, and had a ride around the local area. A mixture of mountain biking, in narrow paths, rocks and roots, and a beach promenade, really a nice suburb of Helsinki. We cooked a delicious dinner of giros style chicken, courgette, mushrooms and rice, with tomato and avocado salad.
