Squirrels

Like a tightly coiled spring. I did remind him he's evolved from a wild animal, and is supposed to be on high alert for rampant squirrels but he couldn't hear me over his snoring.

I ducked my run this morning. I've had Achilles problems for months and while its been manageable it was a bit twangy yesterday so I figured a day off wouldn't hurt. I need to go tomorrow, I'm behind (when aren't I) in my training and and only have a couple of weeks to go to my first event.   Instead I did lots of the bitty jobs that build up; moved stuff around, and put things away,, sorted out some old sheets and towels for the charity shop, cut back the really dead (as opposed to nearly dead)  things in the garden, did the food shop (taking twice as long as Himself wanted to 'help'), finally got on top of the laundry (in the, not literally on top of) basket and generally pottered about. A satisfying day all in all
