Silly Saturday ...

... Ruby-throated Hummingbird: Part 2.

As the activity of the hummingbirds is ramping up before they leave us all together I'm going to enjoy them whilst they are still here.  It won't be long now that they all head south for the Winter.  I hate to see them go ... but their return is always something to look forward to in the Spring or early Summer.  

So be forewarned ... I will keep posting photos of them for as long as I can before they are completely migrated out of our area.  Provided I'm able to get more photos of them, of course.  I rarely, if ever, get shots like this one ... with the hummer hovering mid-air.  Please have a look full screen.

In other news:  We released Monarch butterfly #12 (a male) this afternoon once we had returned from a lovely walk at the Plainfield Rail Trail.
