Squirrel Blip Friday ...

... Baby Chippy!!!

After yesterday's adventures I wanted to take it easy today and stay close to home. We were home for most of the day but this afternoon we drove over to Housenick Park for a rather nice walk.  We took a different path than usual just to mix it up a little. 

And, boy, was I glad we did that as we wouldn't have come across this super adorable, super tiny baby chipmunk!  We were walking along when I saw something scurrying in front of us.  I quickly grabbed ahold of Richard's arm as the chippy was directly in his path.  I was able to get a few not so great shots of him/her before they ran under some branches along the side of the trail.  We could hear momma chipmunk signaling to this little one so we assume he/she was running toward momma. 

We finished our walk and returned home ... and we stayed put for the rest of the day.   I did have a nice swim in the pool upon our return even though the water temp has gone down quite a bit due to the cold nights we've been having.  Whilst in the pool a beautiful Ruby-throated hummingbird came to sun herself in the nearby honeysuckle.  I've posted a picture to Facebook if you'd like to have a look.
