Pylon, Newport Wetlands

So today is my first outing with Marauders Men’s Health, around Newport Wetlands RSPB reserve. Met up with A in the car park to fill in the formalities and paperwork, were soon joined by two others for a relaxed walk around the reserve. All keen snappers so plenty to talk about, although little in the way of bird life to be seen (hiding in the reeds). When I said I’d seen a bearded tit here they looked at me and sniggered, must be my goatee. Leisurely stroll around followed by coffee and cake in the visitor centre, with plenty of lively conversation on a variety of subjects, so plenty to interest me. My choice of photo today was the result of wanting to get away from the usual in a place like this. The power lines run from nearby Uskmouth power station and can be either a distraction or an interesting composition.
