Great Rundale

A beautiful day, after a cloudy start. Friends came and we set off from our house and walked round Dufton Pike. Hardly anyone else about; we certainly avoided the Bank Holiday crowds.

This is the view from the track that leads round the back of the Pike. Great Rundale is the valley. If you look large, you can see the old mining track which leads to the remains of lead mine works. You can just see a lime kiln by the side of the track.
